In Japan, of course, there food is different, and much healthier, but when you think of Japanese food im sure you think of Raw fish, Sushi ;), and natural foods?Right? Well thats what you will expect! The Japaneses eat a lot of Seafood, Veggies, Rice, Chicken, Tofu, and Soy etc. By the time we get to Japan we'll be eating all those foods ;)! The Foods we will be eating are all kinds! So dont worry if you arent going to like it, they have other types of foods for us. Like chicken, salad, sushi, veggies and other good stuff! All the foods they have is up to you, if you are going to eat them or not. However, one thing they cant make you decide on is their TABLE MANNERS!!!

The manners in Japan are much different than the manners we have here. In Japan we will see that when you eat you have to sit on the floor on a pillow. Also before you start to eat you MUST SAY " Itadakimasu" which means "i gratfully eat!"

Also if you have a stuffy nose or runny nose Blowing your nose in public, and especially at the table, is a bad manner. Use the chopssticks with care adn use them properly. Do not talk about doo-doo or the toilet in pulic or at a table. Its a polite manner to burb at a resturant because to them it is saying that the meal is delicous. When you finsh your meal put your plate the same way it was when you first had it before you ate. DO NOT POUR SOYSAUCE ON RICE, NEVER. Everthing you need to know, you can ask me, i will be glad to help. ;)

The money in Japan is called Okane. the way to say it oh-kah-neh. The yen is like the penny in Japan. There are a 2 coins that have holes. The 2 coins are the 5 coins, and the 50 coines. The reason why the coins have holes is because a long time ago, they would wear it around their necks so that they wouldnt get it stolen. The Yen coins they have are Basic (penny), 5, 10, 100, 500. The paper money they have is in 1,000 yen amounts and 10,000 yen. When we go to Japan we need to exchange our Dollar into Yen so people can go shoping.

What should i wear today? Is a Big question in Japan! The Kimono is the traditional dress to wear and a national custom in Japan. The way to say Kimono in Japanese is gofuku. Which means clothes on wo. The way the look are very beautiful and are for both boys and Girls. The womens dress is a dress. The upper lining of the kimono is called Doura. Eri is called the collar, Fuki is the Hem on it, Okumi is the front side panel, Maemigoro is the front main panel, the Sode is the sleeve and the Ushiromigoro, is the back of the kimono.

Plain or Colored it will cost you $10,000 just for the kimono! The kimon with all the outfit will cost about $20,000! This outfit is very casual or formal. Young women like teens and girls, must wear longer sleeves then the originals because this shows a sign that they are unmarried.

The Mens Kimono is much more simpler, the maximum of pieces for men is to have 5 pieces. Mens Kimono are stitched on the sleeves and have a small place that isn't attached. The mens has two pieces, the top kimono and the bottom of the kimono, so it is not a full dress. The kimonos for men are much modern, and not as bright as the womens.
